This unique, interactive educational activity is designed for all members of the multidisciplinary Cystic Fibrosis Team. The 1.5 hour, case-based activity includes a live interview with a cystic fibrosis patient or parent, a didactic presentation, and case studies with Q&A. The activity can take place at your institution (as part of a staff meeting or as an in-service), at a restaurant, or at another venue, and a meal for the participants can be provided. The funding support is provided by an independent educational grant from Gilead Sciences Medical Affairs.

The Cystic Fibrosis Summit: Current Trends and Future Directions is a 5.5 hour intensive accredited medical education activity designed specifically for physicians and advanced practitioners involved in the management and treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis. The clinical relevance of consequential respiratory pathogens, long-term treatment study data, the role of CFTR modulators, and the impact of clinical comorbidities such as nutritional deficits and mental health issues will be discussed. Participants will collaborate on strategies to improve patient and family education, ensure smooth transitioning from pediatric to adult care, and develop techniques to help patients improve their adherence to treatment. This educational activity is designed to be highly interactive in nature and is limited to a small number of participants. This activity is supported by an educational grant from Gilead Sciences.
